Accounting / Finance - Remote Bookkeeper with Bookkeeping Company (Online) ompensation: $20-$24 per hour

We are a remote bookkeeping company that is growing! We have a position that is currently part-time (15-20 hours per week), but it could grow to more hours, if you are interested in more hours. We work during normal work hours (M-F, 8 am - 6 pm). Our preference is that the work is done in those hours, in case questions come up, but there can be some flexibility, if needed.

Our ideal candidate would be:
- Reliable
- Logical
- Likes to help people with their bookkeeping
- Have 3+ years experience in accounting/bookkeeping
- Proficient in QuickBooks desktop or QuickBooks Online. If you have both, that's a plus! QB certification is a bigger plus!
- Understand basic accounting principles
- Not afraid to ask questions, if you're not sure about something. It's easier to ask and do it correctly first, than to fix it later.
- Good communication and patience. Some people don't quite understand accounting, so we try to make it digestible for them.
- Be comfortable with technology
- Have a good internet connection

Some of the duties:
- Reconciliations
- Entering transactions in QB
- Sales tax return prep
- 1099 review
